Swing Set Drama

My mom and dad bought the kids a new swing set for Easter (keep in mind that was like 2 months ago). I began putting it together the day after we got it. Half way through we figured out that a bunch of pieces were missing to it. So I e-mailed the manufacturer to get the parts that were missing. They finally all showed up this week. Can you believe how long that took? Last night Bart and I finally got to put together the glider swing. Then after we were done I ran over to Home Depot to buy a baby swing for Logan. This morning I tried to put it up and guess what, one of the bolts is missing. What to do, what to do? I didn't want to wait for the manufacturer to send the bolt, summer would probably be over by the time I got it, so I ran over to Home Depot to see if I could get one there. They don't carry them. So I am forced to go through the manufacturer again. Word of advice: don't ever buy a flex flyer swing set, they are a real pain in the butt!

Chloe's "Graduation" Party

Tonight was so much fun. We celebrated Chloe graduating from preschool. I made a special treat of grilled bananas and ice cream, which she loved and ate a ton of. Then we sat down as a family and watched her preschool DVD that her teacher made her. It was fun to put her in the spotlight and celebrate the how wonderful she is. She loved showing us all of her preschool art and feeling very important.

I can't believe how big she is getting. She has grown up so much these last few months. She now knows all of her letters and their sounds. She is ready to start reading, which we are now working on. I can't believe she will be going to kindergarten this fall. She is such a wonderful girl. She is so sweet to her brothers and she always helps me around the house. I couldn't ask for a better daughter!

It's about time!

Logan is doing so much better! He is finally a happy baby again. He is so much fun. He is still scooting, but he can now scoot EVERYWHERE and get into EVERYTHING! He is even starting to pull up to things.

You see this exciting, because about 2 weeks ago we found out that he is anemic. He hasn't gained any weight since he was 6 months old and his physical development has completely stopped. I was started to get really worried about the poor little guy. He is now on an iron supplement, and I think it is starting to work. I have noticed a huge different in his energy levels. He is so much more energetic and just HAPPY! I am so grateful that we found out what was going on with him. It is so nice to finally, after months of craziness, have my cute little Loggers back. (Oh, and guess what else he slept through the night twice this week. Isn't that great?) YEAH!!!!

Blah...

I have not been feeling very well lately. I don't know what is going on with me. It seems like I have been feeling sick to my stomache for weeks now. I am almost starting to worry that I might be pregnant, but it's not really possible, and I don't think I am. So I am NOT! I think that I need to fast to clean out my system and then slowly go back to eating again. I don't know what else to do to get me feeling better. Tonight I feel like I want to just throw up. Yuck! Does anyone have any ideas to get me feeling better?

Pictures

Today Malisa took pictures of the kids. I love that she is so willing to take them, because I hate getting their pictures done. It is so hard to find nice outfits for them all to wear. They also get worn out really fast. I think overall we got some cute pictures. I wish they would have cooperated a little longer so that we could have gotten a few more, but I guess we have to take what we get.

Chloe took some adorable pictures. This is my one of my favorites!

Jake is my funny boy! He was making funny faces the whole time we were taking pictures.

This picture shows their true personalities. Jake looks like he just tortured Chloe and Logan, and loved it. Logan is crying because I am not holding him. Chloe looks like she is pouting because Jake wasn't being very nice. Classic!
What cute kids!

Logan decided he was not going to smile for the camera today. He is a very serious boy. I love this picture of him!

Guilty

I am trying so hard not to be Twilight obsessed. Last night however, I gave in and I am now reading the books again (this is like the 3rd time). I couldn't help myself after watching the movie with my Mom on Saturday night. Now I plan on watching the movie again after I finish the first book. I really want to compare the two and see how close they are. It is interesting to read Twilight and picture the movie characters because they are so different from what I had originally imagined. I can't believe I am reading these books again. I never read books twice, let alone three times. I am crazy, I know!

Sick Kids

So I finally took Logan into the doctors yesterday. He has RSV and double ear infections. What a miserable little boy. He is so good though, for being that sick he is actually pretty happy. Oh and not to mention he is also cutting another tooth. He is manageable during the day, its the nights that he is waking up every hour and crying. I feel so bad for him.

This morning Chloe woke up just crying and miserable. She is complaining of an earache and she has some weird red lumps on her legs. So we will be going to the doctor again today.

I asked Jake how he was feeling, to make sure that when we go to the doctor this time we get everything taken care of. He was playing blocks and having fun. He looked at me with the most pathetic look and said, "Oh, my ears are aching." What a little stinker. He is just fine!

I thought with the weather warming up and spring on the way we could finally get feeling better here. Oh how wrong was I? I think the kids have been sick for an entire month. The poor things!
